Evidence of the Resurrection

Home  Blog  Post#1

This morning at our church service, our Pastor was explaining how the resurrection of Jesus Christ is the central to all of Christianity because it gives us as believers in Jesus Christ a confident expectation about our eternal future with Him. Our assurance of the resurrection is not just enforced from what the Bible says, but there were also numerous proofs. One of the strongest proofs are the 11 disciples who after our Lord’s death on the cross, they were in total despair and despondent, and yet once they saw our Lord in resurrection body, that change everything for them.

They then proceeded to go forth and preach the gospel of Christ anywhere and everywhere they could. And they did it at great risk to themselves. In fact, all died a martyr’s death except for John. They would not have taken such a risk, they would not have given up everything in pursuit of their single-minded goal of telling the good news about Jesus Christ if He had not risen from the dead, if He were not alive.

We worship a living God, personable God, a God who is present with us and who loves, guides, protects, and cares for us every day of our lives. We can thank God for the resurrection of our Lord and Savior and look forward to resurrection united Him.

John 11:25 “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me shall live even if he dies.”

Acts 16:31 “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved."
